Homelessness facts and statistics: The numbers you need to know in 2026

The Big Issue has produced a compilation of homelessness facts and figures for England, Wales and Scotland and with one in 200 households experiencing homelessness across the UK, it doesn’t make pleasant reading. Scotland is undoubtedly doing better than the rest of our UK counterparts, but we know there is much to be done if we are to fulfil our aspirations to end homelessness in Scotland. Find the data here.
