HNS Members’ Forum | Full House… using the homes we’ve got

19 March 2024 – 12.30pm

SKU: full house Category:

The cost to build new homes increased, while the budget to build them was cut.

Meanwhile, homelessness in Scotland is rising with local authorities and their partners feeling the strain.

Fixing and funding the supply of housing in order to relieve pressure on the homelessness system is the biggest part of the solution.

But another part of the solution is releasing the housing capacity we’ve already got. Sometimes this is about stock (for example, empty homes and multiple home ownership). And sometimes this is about systems (for example, releasing blockages in temporary accommodation or addressing unaffordable private lets).

This online event will provide an up-to-the-minute briefing, and share learning and inspiration from local authorities and their partners finding solutions at the sharp end of housing pressures.
